So…there’s a somewhat unexpected conversation going on in the comments of today’s Vlogbrothers video, so I thought I would introduce you to the Unicorn. I do not know anything about it, even whether it is male or female. 

And, even worse, I can’t remember who gave it to me or even where. Probably LeakyCon, since it doesn’t feel like I’ve had it very long. But, yes, it’s wearing a fez, bow tie, and golden pants. If you know who gave it to me, please leave a comment letting me know.

Dear Hank and all you other awesome nerdfighters!

Since you’re reading this, I assume you have already heard (/read) about THE mysterious unicorn. So let’s clear up some questions about him (yep, it’s a boy!). In 2011, a group of five Austrian nerdfighters had a wonderful gathering. We went to a comic fair – nerdy, no, geeky in the classiest sense – and had a really nice time.

As we made our way through the fair hall, a white, shining light suddenly caught our attention. It was the glitter on the tail of a little unicorn, guiding us to find him. IT WAS FATE, YOU GUYS!

So we bought the fair creature and converted him to the good side of the force. We think he’s the Doctor’s secret companion and bears the name Bachelor of Time and Space, also known as B-Tas  (since, you know, there’s already a Doctor, and a Master…hohoho, we’re so witty!). And like Hank, B-Tas also has a strong affection for “The Rocky Horror Picture Show”, which is why he’s wearing funky, golden Rocky shorts - the sign of vision and strength! He’s also wearing a fez because fezes are cool, and a bow tie - because they’re cool too. And with his sonic unicorn he can open wooden doors. Overall, he is a very humble and peace-loving creature, and of course a nerdfighter. (*cough*Not all unicorns are evil, John.*/cough*)

 B-Tas getting a dapper makeover: 

Well, we’re really happy that you got him! We sent the package last year in November (to Elyria OH), and we thought it would never find its way to you. But huzzah, it did! SO AWESOME :D
